ABOUT THE ROLE
Vanthal Technologies is seeking Production Technicians to support the assembly, configuration, inspection, and preparation of Group 1 unmanned aircraft systems at its operations in Annapolis, Maryland.
This is a full-time, hands-on manufacturing position performed on-site in an eight-hour shift. Production Technicians work within defined production processes using documented work instructions, dedicated tools, fixtures, and acceptance criteria.
Prior aerospace manufacturing experience is not required. Applicants must have prior soldering experience and should be comfortable performing detailed mechanical and electrical assembly work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare components and materials for aircraft assembly
- Complete assigned mechanical and electrical assembly operations
- Perform soldering, wiring, fastening, and component installation
- Use production fixtures, hand tools, programmed tools, and test equipment
- Follow documented work instructions and configuration requirements
- Perform defined in-process inspections
- Record completed work and inspection results
- Identify damaged, incorrect, or nonconforming components
- Support aircraft configuration and functional checks
- Maintain an organized and safe production area
- Prepare completed aircraft and supporting equipment for packaging
- Work with production, quality, and integration personnel to resolve assembly issues
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior soldering experience
- Ability to follow written and visual work instructions
- Ability to perform detailed hands-on work consistently
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to communicate production issues clearly
- Ability to maintain accurate production records
- Ability to perform wiring, assembly, fastening, and inspection tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a production-team environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with electronics assembly, mechanical assembly, fabrication, repair, or maintenance
- Experience using hand tools, soldering equipment, torque-controlled tools, or electrical test equipment
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, robotics, electronics, appliance, medical-device, or light-industrial manufacturing
- Experience building, maintaining, or operating unmanned aircraft
- Familiarity with quality-control or configuration-control processes
- Technical school, vocational training, military technical experience, or equivalent hands-on experience
